Think I'll bump this thread since it's been a year! We have quite a few new guys and we haven't really heard from them yet so if we're going to get this off-season going let's start here! Feel free to introduce yourself or as Mason said about this time last year: The title says it all. Introduce Yourself!
Tell us your favourite team, how you became a hockey fan, and whatever you really want!
So I'm Cole, diehard nucks fan. Always loved the Jets as my second or third favourite. Always loved hockey and everything about it since I was a kid, along with baseball and soccer. I am an avid trader and love my team, *reigning champion cough cough*. Hope this will be a great year guys, best of luck to all!

Hey guys im Deepak and i just took over the Minnesota North Stars. My favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs with the Avalanche and Capitals as a distant 2nd and 3rd. Ive been a hockey fan since i was a kid and ive grown up always cheering for Toronto teams and it strted with the leafs and eventually got into other sports (basketball and baseball) and i started cheering for the Raptors and Blue Jays. Outside of Toronto (where i was born) Colorado would probably be my favorite sports city.
Ive been playing fantasy sports for a while now but just recently got into keeper leagues which provided more of a challenge and i love making trades that bring in a lot of youth and im really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Hello Brandon here. I am a probably the most southern member of this league coming from cincinnati, oh. I am pretty new to hockey having gone to my first jackets game in December of 2011 at the request of my cousin saying I had to check it out. (the height of the Jackets dynasty But I have since become absolutely obsessed!! as you can see I'm the Blue Jackets in this league and look forward to my first season of fantasy hockey.

Hey Everyone, I'm Scott and I'm taking over for the Cali Seals this season. I currently live in Minneapolis, originally from just outside Detroit so I'm a pretty diehard Wings fan (and Lions unfortunately). When I moved to Minnesota I was able to root for the Wild but now I like to see their $200 million spending spree fail spectacularly for some reason. That reason probably that they stole Suter from under us! Have played and followed hockey all my life but haven't found a good group to get too into fantasy hockey since most of my buddies think football is the only sport around. Anyway, looking forward to building a contender in 2013!

Hey everyone,
I'm Chris and I'm from Toronto where I currently live / work. I'm a diehard Leafs fan that thought I died and went to heaven when the Leafs made the playoffs this April. I'm quite happy to be apart of this group and I can't wait for the season to start!

Hey guys,
I will be taking over the Toronto Maple Leafs. My name's Matt I'm 26 from Winnipeg. Huge Jets fan, on the wait list for season tickets (hopefully will be in in 2014).
Been playing fantasy hockey for 15 years. Do cash hockey pools every year, started a for-money keeper league with buddies last year which is a blast. Was a member of a STHS league called the XHL years ago and have been a member on hockeyarena.net for 7 years.
Anyway I hate the Leafs but wanted to take them over to see if it was possible for them to win a championship. Will be evaluating my team tonight and posting a trade block and stuff. Nice to be here.

So I've read the rules. Forgive me for the following n00b questions: 1) I noticed the Leafs roster hasn't been updated in a year. Is it safe to assume my roster posted in the Leafs thread is accurate? 2) can I sign free agents/trade right now? 3) what happens to players on my roster who I can't find on cap geek? Eg Jose Theodore. 4) how do I release players?
Thanks guys!
