Keep in mind that the ultimate decision will be left up to me, but just wanted to get all of your inputs on which scoring system you prefer and a little explanation of why.

I think head to head gives to much power to stats like pim and shots. It almost makes the leader in pim equal to the leader in goals.

I went with Points as well. Points seems to judge the team better as a whole. IMO

why not do head to head points? If you do head to head then you get the same reward if you win your weekly matchup in PIM and Shots as you do if you would have won Goals and assists. I like points based only where goals are worth the most and PIM is down the totem pole.

Is there no way to do head to head points and make goals/assists/points worth more points then PIM/shots etc.? I know in my fant. baseball keeper league HR's are worth more points the singles/doubles/triples and it is H2H. I think H2H is more fun if it is set up correctly (if possible)
EDIT: my fant. baseball is yahoo.

I was thinking head to head would be you get wins for each category you win in a week. If we did head to head where it is solely points based that is fine with me.

That's what I think would be best. Head to head based solely on points.

When registration opens, we will look over the options, but I will definitely try and find ways to make stats like goals and assists more valuable then PIM. (1 way, if we did head to head, would be to add Points as a category as well, so G,A, and Points)

I am very heavily leaning towards a Points System. To help you guys in looking what to draft for, these would be the Stats and projected Point totals.
***This is not set in stone!!!*** Use more as a guideline for drafting!
Goals (2) Assists (1) PIM (5PIM = 1Point) SOG = .25 (Maybe less) +/- = .5 Power Play Point = 1 or .5 (Most likely 1) Short Handed Point = 2 (Most likely) Hits = .25 (Maybe less) Blocked Shot = .25
May have Face Offs as well but don't count on it, and if I did they wouldn't be worth much seeing as only 1 position can really get points in it.
For goalies, it will most likely be the default settings for the stats Wins, Goals Against, Saves, Shut Outs, (Maybe a point for a Start)

no. 1 fight major isnt worth the same as an assist. maybe 5pim = 0.25 points.
hits has to be more like 0.10.
i really want to get the draft going, but we should probably have a scoring system hammered out before we start really getting into the draft.
i think bruins wouldve drafted stamkos regardless, either way.

Guys. Like I said nothing's set in stone and I'm just doing this off the top of my head. But I can guarantee you goals and assists will be more weighted. Just expect an order of importance along these lines
Goals Sh points Assists Power play points Plus minus
Then like shots hits blocked shots pim

I like rotisserie with 10 categories and two divisions. So if in MY division I had most goals for that week I get 10 points but I had least assists since I only got 1 point for that. So the most points a team can get a week is 100 points. And it's this way for both divisions. But we need to raise the salary cap for su're.

I also like this idea. Blocked shots, PIM, and hits should really be the lower and secondary statistics. Also to back his claim up it doesn't matter to me what scoring system we use, as long as assists don't weigh too much, I still want Stamkos.

I think everything is good for scoring, but PIM should be something like .1 per every minute. (.2 for 2 minutes, .5 for 5 minutes etc.) Hits should be .1. Blocked shots are fine at .25 IMO.

I think if you have the most goals you shouldn't get rewarded the same as the team who has the most PIM...just my opinion.
